We were disappointed at the cost of everything in the<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3186/2682457669_8cac424477_o.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 320px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3186/2682457669_8cac424477_o.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a> city! We couldn't afford <em>Crème brûlée</em> or <span style="font-style: italic;">escargots</span>! We could barely afford a couple <span style="font-style: italic;">croissants</span>. We made the best of it though. I don't know many people who can say they've had a picnic under the Eiffel Tower, but we can! We made the salad with fresh veggies from <a style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" href="http://www.monoprix.fr/">Monoprix</a>. We also got the wine there. The croissants were from <b>Blé Sucré</b>. They were truly amazing. Melt-in-your-mouth, buttery, flaky. Everything you expect from a real, French pastry chef! Apparently the owner, Fabrice Le Bourdat, has a lot of experience in pastry.<br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />We got some great lobster meat in oil, lightly flavoured with lemon, at the <a style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" href="http://marchedaligre.free.fr/">Marche d'Aligre</a><span style="font-style: italic;">. </span>The tartelletes from <span style="font-weight: bold;">Aux Castelblangeois</span> were beautiful!<span style="font-style: italic;"> </span>The language barrier was somewhat difficult to overcome, since neither of us speak a word of French. Everyone seemed friendly enough, though. Overall, we're glad we can say we've been to Paris!
